Fiber Cement Boards

NAD-11

NAD-11 is an asbestos-free cement board with excellent properties. A high density cement board reinforced with inorganic fibers, NAD-11 is suitable for applications requiring continuous operation in temperatures up to 500°C (932°F). NAD-11 is dimensionally stabile, non-combustible, chemically inert, and it retains its mechanical strength at temperature. It can be easily machined to various shapes.  NAD-11 can be used in many industries in applications such as platen insulation, as thermal insulation in ovens and furnaces, and as support pads in high temperature applications.

Transite

Transite monolithic fiber cement industrial boards are used in environments up to 1000°F where high strength is the primary concern. These fiber cement boards are used in the foundry industry for flask liners, core, drying and carry plates, and induction furnace casings. Electrical applications include busbar supports, aluminum pot insulation, and electrode arm insulators. Transite 1000 and Transite HT are also used as load bearing gasketing, spacers, supports, and machined parts for OEM applications.

Minerit HD

Minerit HD is an untreated fiber cement board that allows the authentic appearance of the rough fiber-cement to stand out. In nature, Minerit HD is a building board which can be installed for facade purposes, when a natural and rough expression is desired. Minerit HD is a natural material and variations may occur in the individual boards and from board to board, adding a lively expression to your facade. Minerit HD is a high quality fiber cement building board used as both a building board as well as a part of a ventilated facade solution.

NAD-11

NAD-11 is dimensionally stabile, non-combustible, chemically inert, and it retains its mechanical strength at temperature. It can be easily machined to various shapes. 

NAD-11 can be used in many industries in applications such as platen insulation, as thermal insulation in ovens and furnaces, and as support pads in high temperature applications.

Applications – Cathode support pads, Platen insulation, Element supports, Oven cladding, Furnace plates, Induction furnaces.

Characteristics – Dimensionally stable, Good mechanical strength at operating temperature, Non-combustible, Good machining characteristics, Chemically inert, Asbestos free, Tooled with CNC machines to meet project requirements.

Transite HT

Transite HT is a non-combustible board with low thermal conductivity + high impact and wear resistance. Resistant to moisture, alkalis and solvents.

Application – Load bearing gaskets, supports and spacers, press plates, machine guards and fume hood linings; Bussbar supports, transformers spacers, terminal boxes and strips, coil supports, arc shields, collars and bushings, aluminum pot insulation, steel arm insulators and component mounting plates; Foundry core plates, induction and muffle furnace walls, industrial and baking oven shelving, soldering plates, splash guards and welding shields.

Characteristics – Good machining characteristics, chemically inert

Sheet Size – 48 x 96 in 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 1,1-1/4, 1-1/2, 2, 3” thicknesses

Thickness tolerance  +/- 1/32″

Density – 100 pcf

Operating temperature – up to 600°F after heat conditioning; 450°F normal

Compressive Strength – 10,400 psi

Thermal conductivity – 2.40 Btu-in./ft2

Arc Resistance – 260 seconds

Transite 1000

Transite 1000 is a high density, non-asbestos board used where high strength, thermal stability, electrical insulation and machinability is required.

Minerit HD

Minerit HD (Heavy Duty) is a structural non-combustible board panel.

Applications – Exterior cladding, Fume Hood liners, Agricultural buildings, Balconies, Production facilities, Prefabricated unites, Stairways, Laminated panels, Squash courts, Mechanical screens, Sports and leisure centers, and Interior applications

Characteristics – Machinable, resistant to extreme weather conditions.

Sheet Size – 4’ x 8’, 4’ x 10’; 5/32-1/2” thicknesses

Density –  105 pcf

Operating temperature – 250°F

Compressive Strength – 11,600 psi

Thermal conductivity – 2.1 btu-in/F1,W1°F

CS85

CS85 is a high strength, electrically resistant replacement for asbestos Transite. Minimal shrinkage up to and exceeding 1800°F.

Application – Heat processing, fire protection, electrical resistance applications. Direct contact for non-ferrous metals, fire training burn rooms.

Characteristics – Economical, light weight, low warpage, corrosion resistant

Sheet Size – 48 x 96 in 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 1, 1-1/4, 1-1/2, 2, and 3” thicknesses

Thickness tolerance – +/- 1/32”

Density – 85 pcf

Operating temperature – 1800°F

Compressive Strength – 10,300 psi

Thermal conductivity – 2.13 @ 400°F, 1.94 @ 800°F, 2.01 @ 1000°F

Electrical Conductivity – Arc resistance in seconds = .304

Slatecape

SlateScape is a fiber cement based product that has the look, feel and mass of natural stone (i.e. granite, marble or slate).

Applications – Laboratory work surfaces, dental labs, jewelry workshops educational study carrels, and computer and library tables.

Characteristics – Harmonically dead and resistant the transmittance of any static discharge through the sheet. It has an excellent fire hazard classification and exceptional thermal shock resistance.

Sheet Size – 48 x 96 in 3/4 and 1-1/4” thicknesses.

Color – Slate grey and charcoal
