The two general classes of refractory mortars are air-setting and heat-setting .

Our bonding mortars are finely ground refractory materials which are plastic, or become plastic and trowlable when mixed with water. Our mortars are suitable for laying and bonding insulating firebrick and most clay-based dense firebrick.
